The St. John’s Holiday Fete, a “must go” event kicking off the holiday season, will be held this year on December 3rd and 4th, 2021 in the Parish House of St. John's Church, 9 Parsonage Lane, Washington, CT. This two-day event features great gifts, great food, and fun for the whole family.
A portion of the proceeds from the Holiday Fete will go to the Washington Community Fund, which works to assist local people in need.
Friday, December 3rd: Preview Party from 6:30PM to 9:00PM
Early Bird Rate of $85pp through November 15; $100pp as of November 16th
Cocktail Party/Live Seasonal Music/Silent Auction, St. John’s Emporium
Sip wine and enjoy substantial savories as you listen to David Grausman on the piano.
Stroll the St. John’s Emporium and have first choice of stylish gifts from our popular vendors, Catch All (entertaining and home), Che Bellisimo (leather totes & bags, cashmere scarves) and our newest vendor, Hays Worthington for fine and period jewelry and vintage, jeweled Christmas trees. The Greenhouse will offer holiday blooms. The ever-popular St. John’s Larder will have a selection of home-made sweets, savories, and other delectables.
The Silent Auction, exclusive to the Preview Party, will feature many wonderful experiences, such as themed dinners as well as jewelry donated by Hays Worthington.
Our most popular area is the Couture Closet, which features a wide selection of business, casual and evening attire for both men and women. You can shop both vintage and well recognized designer label clothing, shoes, and accessories. It will be a treasure trove donated by some of the "Best Dressed" in Litchfield County.

Story Time and Book Signing with Wendell Minor (10AM-Noon)
St. John’s Emporium
Continue to shop the St. John’s Emporium, Couture Closet, St. John’s Larder, and The Greenhouse.
A special children’s event will be held by local resident Wendell Minor, a renowned artist/illustrator and children’s author. He will read one of his books followed by a book signing. Storytime will begin at 10AM, followed by a book signing until Noon.
Friends of St. John's - we depend on the kindness of others to provide us with donations to make our event a success!
For donations we would love: The china, crystal, and silver your children don’t want. Tabletop items including bowls, serving pieces, vases, and decorative accessories. We would also like desktop items such as bookends (but NO books), lamps, mirrors, and such. Clothing: men’s and women’s casual and dressy clothing: sweaters, jackets, outerwear, and accessories including scarves, costume jewelry, handbags, and shoes.
Please note NO furniture of any kind, NO upholstered pieces, NO beds/frames, NO art, and NO linens of any kind.
Donation Drop-off: Beginning Tuesday, Sept 7th, the Parish House, located behind the church, will be open Monday -Wednesday from 10:30 to 3 pm for donation drop-offs.
